In the meeting of the Alumni Association on 18th September, 2015 at 2:30 pm the Secretary reported that the President, who was appointed to see what the Association could do for the college in terms of priority, found that ceiling fans for classrooms were a priority. In the meeting on 10th February, 2016 the Treasurer reported that members had contributed Rs. 15,000/- for purchase of ceiling fans. The meeting therefore resolved to buy 4 numbers of ceiling fans. The fans were bought and installed in the classrooms.
In the meeting on 5th October, 2016, the Secretary reported that the Coordinator, IQAC of the college had informed him that the college urgently needed water cooler for students. This meeting by its resolution no.1 unanimously resolved to buy a cooler as and when the Association could muster the amount of money for this purpose.
In the meeting on 22nd February, 2017 the Treasurer reported that water filter-cum-cooler had been bought and installed in the college.
In this meeting the Treasurer reported also that there was a balance of funds contributed by members. The meeting resolved to purchase 4 more ceiling fans for classrooms.
In the meeting on 1st August, 2017, the Treasurer reported that 4 numbers of ceiling fans had been bought and installed in the classrooms.
In this meeting it was also resolved to participate in the Opening function of the College Week and to act as judges in various competitions during the College Week in response to the invitation received from the leaders of the Students’ Union.
The meeting also resolved to respond to the request of the Principal to accompany the Principal and staff who would go to Saitual College to receive the scholarships given by the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited to 130 students of Government Kolasib College. The President, V.L. Auva and the Secretary, R. Lalchungnunga accompanied the Principal and staff to Saitual college and met with the leaders of the Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and requested them for more assistance to the college. They also conveyed their deep gratitude for the scholarships.
